Wrap-and-Go

Made from vintage fabric found yesterday, with Butterick's aptly named Wrap-and-Go-Skirt, mine sans pocket and a little less full than the pattern.
I was inspired by this girl to make a wrap skirt, hers are gorgeous.
I will actually wear this out of the house though, unlike some of my previous efforts!

That looks great good job! And wow look at the price on that pattern! How cool would it be if they cost that much now? I think it is wonderful how everything in style comes back around.
Fun post girlie-thanks!

That lovely fabric was put to good use very quickly :)

This is super lovely! Yours is even nicer than the pattern cover, and that is often hard to achieve.

Cute pic too!

It looks great - I have this same pattern in my stash - and have often looked at it and then though "no it looks too full" Could I ask how much you took off of each piece - your version looks great!

Oooh that's lovely. I have some great vintage sheets which would be perfect for a skirt.
Great modelling too!

Very cute skirt. I have a Wrap and Go Dress pattern from the same range and it even includes a cross stitch pattern to add to the bodice, for those so included. I got it from the Op Shop for 20c. I've never thought about actually making it, but you've inspired me now. It could be a great project for this weekend.

Gorgeous!
I have the exact same skirt pattern - I love it! I'm also rather fond of those "One Metre" patterns too - good wrap skirts in those too.....

Nanette is such a leopard-print superstar, don't you think?

Oh, Claire, how I've enjoyed looking through your blog! I moved from Newtown (where I had lived for a long time) to Byron Bay eight years ago. I love living here but you've made me miss the Inner West!

Love the pose!!! I'm a big fan of the cover photos on 70's patterns, so good to see the modern interpretation!
