All good things ...

I've been very patient, looking, looking, praying to the Op-Shop Deities,
leaving empty handed, thinking they have all been snapped up by dealers, bought by collectors, or hoarded away in garages,
but finally a full set of 60's canisters to call my own.
I've always loved these canisters. I particularly love the hard plastic and vibrant colours, impossible to feel miserable with these in the kitchen!
Some bright 60's linen ... these haven't been used, shall rectify that. And my favourite thing today. Beautifully made, with solid, proper wood. Ugly upholstery, but easily fixed. Not sure whether to repaint it white, or go a bit more out there. Perhaps a light turquoise, with some vivid fabric? Perhaps one of the above T.Towels, they are a perfect fit. Off to The the Sydney Winter Festival tonight. Have a great weekend, see you on the flip-side.

Op shop good have been good.
Enjoy the Winter Fest. Doesn't really feel like winter yet though. Just wet, not that cold yet.

Great finds well done. My MIL has a set of those canisters - I am waiting with baited breath for her to one day get rid of them - enjoy!

well the wait was worth it...you scored so well! Gorgeous canister colours. The paintwork on the stool look good as is, but I'm loving bright yellow paint jobs currently. Now that would really make it stand out.

Full! Set! What a find.

I agree - a kitchen mood-lifter.

(btw, my word verification thing is 'mingiz'... giving me my own mood-lifting Ali G moment. )

Yeah, those canisters totally rock my boat. I have some orange ones, and some randoms that I use in the sewing room... Gotta love a good find like that.

Go the bright colour and one of the teatowels to match with the canisters. Can't wait to see what you come up with. What a great haul, good things do come to those who are patient!

Great finds! I'm with bird bath on the bright sunny yellow would look great. I love the tea towels, especially the purple one. I've seen some great cushion covers made with tea towels and pillow cases with a plain linen back and great vintage buttons - too easy! Have fun.

I can really picture that stool painted in turquoise or some other brightish colour with textured black and white damask or jacquard upholstery... that's what I'd do with it. Can't wait to see what you come up with. V jealous of your teatowels.
