Goodnight Uncle Arthur!

As promised, here are a couple of photos from the vintage book my big sister (Leah) sent.
Some are really sweet, like this one below.

And some are just weird, like this one below!

'As Daddy reached for his Bible, a deep scowl came over Vivian's face'.
(LOVE the chairs!)

Oh my God Claire, I have a couple of Uncle Arthur's classics too! I find them ultra creepy.
I particularly cringed when I read the story of the Wasted Sixpence in Volume 42 (!!!!) Silly Judy put her sixpence in the jukebox and heard "a sound like a frog with a sore throat, a dog baying at the moon, and a little boy banging a drum-all rolled into one"
That horrid noise is jazz, and not worth listening to in her father's opinion.

Well I must say, I do understand, because, whilst not a heathen, I do tend to scowl the minute anyone reaches for a bible.
