Hotch-Potch Sewing

I'm not keen on perfect applique, just looks too 'done' for me, so this is my idea of 10 minute sewing, it's covering a paint stain, ergo the size of it - not only is it big, it's done in a hurry! Looks rather cute on though and the vintage buttons take back what the dodgy sewing gives it. Think it will be even nicer once it's been through the wash and is frayed a bit.

Great idea. We have become such a throw away society and this would help. Even to brighten up a hand-me-down for the next child.
I did that with some of my sons t-shirts, when giving them to my daughter. Lace makes every girly.

I like it. I am trying to work up the courage to add little sewn things to my own clothes, so you see I might just copy you sometimes soon.

cute I never would have thought of doing that.....probably because I make most things for my daughter and buttons are a no no....but I have a growing collection for when she's allowed! love the buttons on your top...good job!
