I found this 1940's neelde book at the local OS - the good news is the needles are indeed rustproof. I love the domestic scene created in this picture - young girls learning to sew, everyone happy and smiling at the thought of that massive roast slow cooking in the oven. All in a days work!
I must get off my arse and get some house work done today!
